Tashkent (TDI): The 9th Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan is currently underway in Tashkent.
During the event, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Mr. Laziz Kudratov signed the protocol and MoU on E-Commerce.
Alongside this meeting, an Uzbek-Pakistani Business Forum was also held in the Uzbek capital, where 25 Pakistani companies participated in talks with more than 100 Uzbek business leaders.

These discussions revolved around sectors like textiles, food processing, engineering, and logistics, reflecting a strong mutual interest in business collaboration.
During the forum, almost 100 B2B meetings were organized. Companies explored new ventures, discussed possible partnerships, and identified trade opportunities. These sessions aimed to increase investment and economic growth, drawing on each country’s unique strengths.
Addressing the gathering, Jam Kamal Khan highlighted Pakistan’s welcoming environment for investors and urged Uzbek companies to consider joint projects in Pakistan.
“Such engagements open doors to stronger commercial links and regional economic stability,” he said.

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, also spoke on the occasion.
The minister welcomed Pakistani businesses and assured them that Uzbekistan’s government will fully support international partnerships.
Kudratov also emphasized the importance of events like this forum in promoting trade and creating new business opportunities.
The forum aligned with the Intergovernmental Commission’s goals that promise strong and sustainable economic cooperation. The B2B sessions provided a clear path forward, with both nations setting the groundwork for future partnerships and collaborative projects.
