RAWALPINDI, (TDI): Pakistani security forces have killed 43 terrorists in a series of Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) launched across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan provinces since December 9, 2024.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations have dealt a significant blow to militant groups, including the notorious Fitna-Al-Khwarij, which has been operating in the region.
In the early hours of December 13, security forces conducted a successful operation in the Lakki Marwat district of KP, targeting a terrorist hideout, the ISPR statement read.
The operation resulted in the killing of six terrorists. Since the beginning of these operations, 18 militants have been eliminated in KP alone.

In Balochistan, security forces launched two separate IBOs on December 13 in the districts of Musa Khel and Panjgur. After intense firefights, ten terrorists were killed. With these operations, a total of 25 militants have been killed in Balochistan since December 9, it added.
the ISPR said that the Pakistani military has pledged to continue these operations until all terrorist elements are eradicated, emphasizing the government’s commitment to restoring peace and stability in the region.

The security forces remain determined to eliminate the growing threat of terrorism posed by various militant groups.
