Rawalpindi (TDI): Former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief General (retired) Faiz Hameed has been arraigned on various charges, including engaging in political activities and violating the Official Secret Act, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
The development comes almost four months after the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced his arrest and the start of Field General Court Martial (FGCM) proceedings against the former ISI boss.
He was accused of misconduct by the owner of a housing society.
In a press release today, the ISPR stated that the FGCM process was initiated against Gen Hameed on August 12 under the provisions of the Pakistan Army Act.

“[…] And in first place Lt Gen Faiz Hameed (Retd) has been formally arraigned on charges of engaging in political activities, violations of Official Secret Act detrimental to safety and interest of the state, misuse of authority & government resources and causing wrongful loss to a person(s),” it stated.
