Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi underscored the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Iran and stressed the importance of strengthening relations through enhanced trade and energy cooperation.
The two officials held a high-level meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday to discuss areas of mutual interest.
The meeting, as outlined in a Foreign Office press release, highlighted both nations’ commitment to exploring avenues for expanding trade, investment, and people-to-people contacts.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar expressed Pakistan’s strong interest in fostering regional connectivity, emphasizing the benefits of deepening bilateral cooperation.
