Islamabad (TDI): Capital Development Authority (CDA), in a meeting on Tuesday, reviewed its financial position and ways to enhance revenue generation.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa and was attended by the Member Finance and other senior officials of the authority.
The Finance Wing presented a briefing on CDA’s financial situation and its various sources of revenue.
It was highlighted that the authority is on track to meet its financial targets for the current fiscal year, even excluding the recent income from auctions.
A comparative analysis of the revenue increase across different directorates, including the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA), was provided by Member Finance.

Chairman Randhawa directed the Finance Wing to ensure effective monitoring of revenue sources and play a pivotal role in achieving the set fiscal year targets.
He emphasized the need for continuous supervision to maximize income generation.
Key issues related to Estate Management-I and II were also discussed during the meeting.
Chairman Randhawa instructed the issuance of notices to all government and private properties whose lease agreements have expired.
Prompt Resolution of Electricity Supply Issues
He stressed the prompt resolution of electricity supply issues in Park Enclave II and III and called for a swift decision on the cancellation of allotments for defaulters in Park Enclave.
The Chairman also urged the Estate Wing to resolve the outstanding issues concerning Built-Up Properties (BUP) and matters related to sectors E-12/1 and E-12/4 in Islamabad.

Furthermore, the CDA Chairman directed the Planning Wing to prioritize pending cases related to commercial activities, as part of efforts to boost revenue.
He also instructed the Building Control Section to increase its field force, while addressing workforce shortages in both the Building Control and Estate Management wings.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman Randhawa emphasized the importance of timely recovery of outstanding dues to ensure that development projects across the city remain unaffected.
