Swat (TDI): The scenic Swat and Kaghan Valleys witnessed an unprecedented surge in tourism during the annual Eid holidays, as visitors from across the country flocked to these beautiful destinations.

These valleys in Pakistan’s North are a tourist heaven people turn to during holidays around the year to enjoy the pleasant weather and breathtaking landscapes.

Eid holidays had special attractions to offer to tourists up North. People engaged in various recreational activities, including rafting in the Kunhar River and adventurous zip-lining experiences.

Saif-ul-Malook Lake remained a particularly popular destination during these days, attracting visitors to marvel at its serene backdrop of snow-capped mountains.

“Tourists flocked to various tourist destinations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Eid-Al-Fitr,” Muhammad Saad, the spokesperson for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Authority, said in a statement on Thursday.
“More than 95,000 tourists were recorded in three days,” he added.

To ensure safety and smooth visitor experience, city police personnel were deployed at various tourist points. Traffic police also stayed on vigilant duty 24/7 to manage the massive flow of vehicles.

Most of the tourists were coming from cities including Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Lahore.
The influx of visitors was effectively managed by local authorities, who implemented stringent security measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
