Beijing, 27 December 2021 (TDI): 55 World Champions belonging to China came together in a song to extend an invitation for the Beijing Winter Olympics. The song is titled, “welcome to Beijing, see you in Beijing!”

The song was released on the occasion of the 40-day countdown to the Beijing Olympics 2022. The Organizing Committee has made arrangements to conduct a simple and safe Winter Olympics and Paralympics in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Beijing Winter Olympics 2022

The Winter Games will commence from 4th February 2022 making Beijing the first city to host a Summer as well as Winter Olympics. Beijing has made an efficient system to keep the spread of the Covid-19 virus under control during the event. The Winter Games will last from February 4 till February 20, whilst the Paralympics will start from March 4 to 13.

Preparations are underway to make the event a massive success along with the efficient and state-of-the-art competition venues as well as a proactive marketing campaign. China launched the Mascots for the Sports Event and Bank Notes too, in this regard. Recently, a video featuring Chinese zodiac animals was launched to welcome the upcoming event.

Earlier, some countries with the United States spearheading the campaign tried to politicize the occasion by boycotting Sports Event diplomatically, but they did not succeed. The International Olympics Committee (IOC) in a meeting, also shunned US’ move to politicize the affair.

The Beijing Olympics 2022 will have wide-ranging winter sports contests that will include Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Cross-Country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skiing, Ice Hockey, and many more.
