Rafah, 19 March 2024 (TDI): On Tuesday, Israel began its assault on Rafah without prior announcement so as to avoid international reactions. It did not wait for permission from anyone to do so.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine strongly condemned the inhumane and vicious bombing perpetrated by the occupation forces against the people of Palestine.
The bombing campaign has been escalating since yesterday. At dawn today, it focused on targeting homes with residents inside, in Rafah. As a result, dozens have been martyred, wounded, and missing under the rubble.
In a statement, the Ministry stated that the escalation of this lethal bombing in Rafah is one of the atrocious crimes committed by the occupation.

Israel has carried out the campaign in a blatant disregard for the presence of more than a million displaced people in the region, without giving any consideration to their lives, violating international demands.
The international community has been urging Israel to protect the people and secure their full humanitarian needs, to no avail.
The Ministry further articulated that the increase of genocide crimes to include Rafah coincides with the beginning of the tour of US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
It must be noted that in his recent statements, Antony Blinken confirmed the absence of any serious Israeli plan to protect civilians in Rafah and demanded that Israel do so.
The Ministry confirmed that Israel has begun to destroy Rafah on a daily and systematic basis through repeated attacks on homes, bombing them, and causing dozens of martyrs and wounded.
Israeli aggression commenced against the city of Rafah without waiting for permission from anyone, nor did it announce it to avoid international reactions.
