United Arab Emirates to host COP 28

Dubai, 12 November 2021 (TDI): The UNFCC has chosen the United Arab Emirates to host the UN Climate Change Conference in 2023. The UAE will host COP 28 according to Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. He further said that they were gratified by the UNFCCC decision. As a country, the UAE will commit to supporting the whole international community. In stepping up joint efforts to combat the very serious threat of climate change.

The UAE’s founding father had great regard for the environment, and it is his legacy. The UAE has made substantial progress in the last 50 years to diversify the economy. This continues to motivate them as they work to protect the well-being of coming generations.

Al Nahyan claims that COP 28 in 2023 will and must be a “solutions COP.” He is confident in the youthful, inclusive nation’s vast expertise in delivering real, feasible, and shared solutions. The world’s most critical issues will be brought to the forefront once more when they host the UN Climate Change Conference in two years.
