Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari formally received the Letter of Credence from Lt Gen (Retd) Peter Mbogo Njiru, the newly appointed High Commissioner-designate of Kenya to Pakistan, in a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday.
During the meeting, High Commissioner Njiru conveyed warm greetings from Kenyan President William Ruto and expressed Kenya’s eagerness to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties with Pakistan.
He emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including trade, agriculture, security, and tourism.

President Zardari welcomed the High Commissioner-designate and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening its relationship with Kenya.
He highlighted the shared interests of both nations and expressed optimism about exploring new avenues for collaboration, particularly in investment and cultural exchange.
The leaders also discussed regional stability and security issues, underscoring the need for collaborative efforts to address common challenges faced by both countries.
