Tehran (TDI): Iran has said that its latest peace proposal to the United States includes wide-ranging conditions such as an end to hostilities across multiple fronts, the withdrawal of US forces from areas near its borders, and reparations for damage caused during the recent war with Israel and the United States.
According to Iranian state media, Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi outlined Tehran’s position, saying the proposal also calls for lifting sanctions, releasing frozen Iranian assets abroad, and ending what Iran describes as a US maritime blockade.
The terms largely resemble earlier Iranian proposals that were previously rejected by US President Donald Trump, who dismissed them as unacceptable. Despite that, Trump has recently indicated a possible pause in military action, saying there is a “very good chance” of reaching an agreement after receiving what he described as a new proposal from Tehran.
He also said the US had been urged by several Gulf countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, to hold off on any planned escalation while diplomatic efforts continue.

Indirect communication between Tehran and Washington has reportedly continued through Pakistan, which has played a mediating role in conveying messages between both sides during the ongoing tensions.
While some reports suggest Washington may be showing limited flexibility such as discussions around partial release of Iranian funds and supervised nuclear activity, neither side has officially confirmed any concrete breakthrough.

At the same time, significant gaps remain between the two positions, particularly on sanctions relief, nuclear enrichment, and broader regional security arrangements.
The situation remains highly fluid, with both diplomacy and military signaling continuing in parallel as efforts to reach a settlement continue.
