China NPC Delegation Arrives in Islamabad to Mark 75th Anniversary of Bilateral Ties

Islamabad (TDI): A delegation from the Standing Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) of China, headed by Vice Chairman Cai Dafeng, reached Islamabad on Wednesday.

Upon arrival at the airport, the delegation was welcomed by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, along with Convener of the Pakistan–China Parliamentary Friendship Group, MNA Romina Khurshid Alam.

The Chinese delegation is on an official visit to Pakistan from May 20 to May 21 to attend events marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

Officials stated that the visit underscores ongoing parliamentary engagement between the two countries and highlights their close cooperation, particularly in strengthening bilateral relations and institutional connections.

During the visit, both sides are expected to participate in commemorative programs celebrating the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.

Pakistan and China have long maintained strong diplomatic, economic, and strategic relations, which continue to expand across multiple sectors including trade, infrastructure, education, and regional connectivity. Both countries regularly engage at high-level forums to further deepen mutual cooperation and coordination on matters of shared interest.
