Outlook on Bahrain – China Relations

Bahrain’s relationship with China extends back many centuries. The relationship between both states is deeply rooted in common history, geography, culture, and economic exchanges.

The historic visit of King Hamad Bin ISA Al Kalifa to China in 2013, was a milestone in the relationship between China and Bahrain.

During the visit, many major agreements in investment and trade were signed. Agreements related to culture, education, science, and health exchanges were also signed.

Since that visit, the Bahraini Economic Development Board makes an annual trip to China with prominent businessmen to explore new opportunities. The purpose of the visit is to develop partnerships and deepen the ties between both countries.
