US Investors Visiting Pakistan for Exploring Opportunities

Islamabad (TDI): A high-level delegation of US investors has arrived in Pakistan on a two-day visit to explore opportunities for better investment aspects.

The delegation is led by Gentry Beach, a Texas hedge fund manager and close business partner of the Trump family, Pakistani state-run media and some US based papers reported on Tuesday.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Rizwan Saeed Sheikh remained engaged with the leadership of the state of Texas, local business leaders, and the Pakistani diaspora in Dallas and Houston to further strengthen the Islamabad-Washington relationship, a press release issued from the Pakistani embassy in October had stated.

“There are immense opportunities to forge a strong partnership between Pakistan and Texas in diverse fields, including IT, agriculture, textiles, and sports,” Sheikh had said as he embarked on a three-day visit to Texas a couple of months earlier.

He had interaction with legislatures and other influential personalities in a bid to explore new opportunities for trade and business.

According to a statement, the arrival of the investment delegation right after the new US Administration took office is of great importance.

US Investors and its objective

The visit of the US delegation to Pakistan will open new avenues for investment, economic, and bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to sources, several investment agreements were signed between Pakistan and the United States.

It is particular to mention that Gentry Beach had paid rich tribute to Pakistan during an event at Mar-a-Lago after the US presidential elections.

In his remarks at the event, he acknowledged the sacrifices of the people of Pakistan in the war against terrorism.

Gentry Beach urged President Donald Trump to further strengthen the US-Pakistan relations.
