London (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has said that Pakistan has effectively dismantled the myth of India’s regional dominance and its portrayal as the “net security provider” of South Asia.
Speaking at a press conference in London following his official visit to the United Kingdom, Dar stated that Pakistan’s position prevailed in the recent military confrontation sparked by India’s “unprovoked aggression.”
He emphasized that while Indian media and officials attempted to push a narrative of superiority, even they have now admitted its failure. “Pakistan’s stance was rooted in facts and truth, which the international community has acknowledged,” he noted.
Dar added that Pakistan not only demonstrated air superiority but also proved its strength on the ground. Stressing Islamabad’s consistent policy, he said Pakistan upholds respect for sovereignty, dignity, and territorial integrity of all nations, and expects others in the region to do the same.

Criticizing Indian leaders’ statements as “regrettable,” Dar urged them to accept defeat and move forward. He clarified that Pakistan never sought third-party mediation, but it was India that agreed to a ceasefire, later relayed to him by US Secretary of State Rubio during the May clashes.
Accompanied by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, Dar highlighted that the government remains committed to stabilizing the economy. He claimed that its policies have strengthened foreign exchange reserves and brought down inflation.

“Pakistan will rise stronger. National unity is the key if we want our country to secure its rightful place among nations and eventually become part of the D-20,” he said.
Rejecting any suggestion that Pakistan should be lectured on terrorism, Dar underscored the country’s sacrifices in the global war on terror, 90,000 lives lost and economic damage worth $192 billion. He recalled that terrorism was largely stamped out during Nawaz Sharif’s government in 2014.
