Islamabad (TDI): Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has interacted separately with members of US Congress and for talks on Pak-US ties in different fields.
He held separate meetings with members of the US congress including Randy Weber, John Rutherford, Maxine Waters and Sylvia R. Garcia.
These meetings discussed the way forward towards further strengthening bilateral relations, focusing on trade, investment and tech collaboration. Economic interaction between Pakistan and Texas State was identified as an avenue for active engagement, a message on social media and quoted by state-run media has said.
The Meetings also focused on engagement during forthcoming Republican Administration seeking mutually rewarding outcomes in trade, investment, IT and Agriculture. Appreciate Congressman’s keen interest in bilateral ties with Pakistan.

Matters related to bilateral ties on deepening exposure and linkages with regard to trade and investment, financial services, people-to-people contacts, and defense & security also came under discussion in meetings, according to Radio Pakistan.
They also discussed enhancing economic interaction with the State of Texas with a sharp focus on steadily evolving trade, investment, and diaspora linkages formed part of a useful and optimistic discussion.
Ambassador Rizwan on Pak-US ties
In a post on social media platform X, Ambassador Rizwan informed that he held productive discussion with Congressman Robert B. Aderholt on enhancing Pakistan-US relations across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, climate change, extractive industries, information technology, as well as security cooperation, counter-terrorism, and defense.

Ambassador Rizwan also extended an invitation to Congressman Aderholt to visit Pakistan, aiming to further strengthen bilateral ties and promote deeper collaboration between the two nations.
Earlier, the Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States outlined the government’s priorities to strengthen bilateral ties with the US in areas including trade, investment, higher education, health, science and technology, climate change, and regional stability during an event at the University of California, Berkeley.
The Pakistani diplomats are focusing on investment opportunities in the US as well.
