Tashkent (TDI): Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Russia on June 4–5, where he will participate in events at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), according Uzbek presidency.
The presidential press service said that Mirziyoyev is scheduled to address the forum’s plenary session, which this year is being held under the theme “Pragmatic Dialogue – The Path to a Stable Future.”
His speech is expected to outline Uzbekistan’s assessment of the global economic situation, along with priorities for national development and the future of Uzbek–Russian economic cooperation.
During the visit, the Uzbek president is also expected to hold bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The discussions are likely to focus on expanding trade, investment, and broader strategic cooperation between the two countries.

In addition to high-level political meetings, Mirziyoyev will take part in a ceremony marking the launch of construction work on Uzbekistan’s first integrated nuclear power plant, a project seen as a major milestone in the country’s long-term energy strategy.

The visit comes as Uzbekistan continues to deepen its engagement with Russia through regional and multilateral platforms, with SPIEF serving as one of the key venues for economic diplomacy and investment outreach in recent year
