Beirut, 17 September 2021 (TDI): Dr. Tedros Director-General, of the World Health Organization, met the Prime Minister and the President of Lebanon. The meeting took place on 16th-September 2021.
Dr. Tedros, Director-General of the WHO, met President General Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Najib Mikati respectively. Director WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office also attended the meetings.
The meeting discussed the national plans to combat Covid-19. Director-General Dr. Tedros applauded the government of Lebanon for prioritizing health in their government policies. The leaders also discussed the government’s response to ensure a static Covid-19 Vaccination supply.
Dr. Tedros Director-General, of the WHO & Prime Minister Najib Mikati, also pondered upon the hurdles that the health system of Lebanon faced. In the presence of current circumstances and the multidimensional crisis, national strategies were also discussed. Director-General of the World Health Organization
