Norwegian and South Sudan’s Ambassadors to Kenya met in Nairobi

Nairobi, 17 September 2021 (TDI): Gunnar Andreas Holm, the incumbent Norwegian ambassador to Kenya, met Chol Ajongo, his South Sudanese counterpart in Kenya, to discuss the security situation and development in the region.

In a friendly meeting, the Norwegian ambassador to Kenya discussed the ongoing security issues in the Republic of South Sudan and measures taken to overcome small and large-scale security threats faced by the state of South Sudan.

Along with it, the meeting also put light on the food security issues in South Sudan. The Norwegian ambassador cast his support for the people of South Sudan. Along with it, both ambassadors also discussed and acknowledged the urgent need for the implementation of the peace agreement.

Furthermore, Gunnar Andreas Holm guaranteed Norway’s support and engagement in the UN Mission in South Sudan. The meeting ended on a happy note, sharing three years-long memories of Gunnar Holm in Juba.
