Kyrgyz Foreign Minister meets his Belarusian Counterpart

Minsk, 14 October 2021 (TDI): Under the sidelines of the regular meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council of Foreign Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Ruslan Kazakbayev held a bilateral meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei.

Kyrgyz Foreign Minister briefed his Belarusian counterpart about Kyrgyzstan’s present internal political situation. Along with the parliamentary elections scheduled for November 28, 2021. He invited the Belarusian side to participate as observers in this regard. The parties went over the current topics on the bilateral agenda in great detail. That included the strengthening of political discussion and the implementation of agreements agreed upon following the inter-MFA

In terms of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the Ministers emphasized the importance of holding the joint Intergovernmental Commission’s 10th meeting in Kyrgyzstan which will include organizing a bilateral Business Forum, regional forums, and agreeing to strengthen investment cooperation, implement joint projects, and open joint ventures in a variety of industries.
