Iranian CG Hold Farewell Meeting with Balochistan Speaker

Quetta (TDI): Iranian Consul General Hassan Darvishvand paid a farewell call on Speaker Balochistan Assembly Capt. (R) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai in his chamber on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the Speaker paid tribute to his services as Consul General in Quetta and thanked him for the support provided during his tenure.

Speaker Achakzai said that Iran is a close neighbor and long-standing friend of Pakistan, and both countries have exemplary and brotherly relations.

He emphasized that bilateral ties between Pakistan and Iran would remain robust and enduring.

The speaker further said that Balochistan would make every effort to promote economic and trade ties with Iran.

He also stressed the need for steps to further strengthen people-to-people contacts and cultural relations between the two nations.

Hassan Darvishvand expressed satisfaction over the traditional friendly ties between Pakistan and Iran and expressed optimisim that these relations would deepen further in the future.

He thanked the Speaker while expressing his best wishes for the people of Balochistan and also commended the hospitality extended by the people and government during his stay in the province.

He said that the people and government of Balochistan have always shown cooperation with Iran, which has further strengthened the friendly ties between the two nations.

On the occasion, both leaders stressed the significance of promoting mutual cooperation between the two countries.

In particular, detailed discussions were held on increasing cross-border trade, cultural exchange, and collaboration in the energy sector between Balochistan and the Iranian province of Sistan.
