7th IYDS Commences Today, 12 May 2026, Tuesday

Islamabad (TDI): Organized by the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies (IPDS), the three-day 7th International Young Diplomats School (IYDS) has commenced today, Tuesday.

Running under the theme “Building Network of Future Leaders through Public Diplomacy,” the school offers an opportunity for students of International Relations (IR) and mid-career professionals to get a direct exposure to the world of diplomacy.

The participants of IYDS learn from interactive sessions with career diplomats, foreign ambassadors, country representatives of the United Nations and its various member agencies; during visits that are curated to impart a sound understanding of how diplomacy works.

Through expert-led discussions, workshops, and real-world case studies, participants gain valuable insights into diplomatic methods and foreign policy formulation.

This year, a cohort of participants are visiting 10 embassies and UN offices in Islamabad.
