New York, 20 September 2021 (TDI): The officials of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh arrived in New York City to participate in the United Nations General Assembly 76th Session.
The President of Sri Lanka, Gotabaya Rajapaksa arrived in New York to address the UNGA 76 session.
The President is going to address the UNGA on Wednesday, 22 September. On this trip, the President will also participate in bilateral discussions with several Heads of the State.
Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations, Rabab Fatima also arrived in New York City. Ambassador is present to welcome the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina.
Bangladeshi Prime Minister agenda for 76th session of UNGA includes protecting migrant and vulnerable people, vaccines equality, climate justice, and international peace and security.
