Berlin, 18 March 2022 (TDI): General Nadeem Raza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), called on General Eberhard ZORN, the Chief of the Defence Forces, Germany.
General Nadeem Raza is on an official visit to Germany and Switzerland. During the meeting, the two sides deliberated upon matters of bilateral professional interest. These include further strengthening of security & defense cooperation between Pakistan and Germany.
The two officials reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate for peace, security, and stability in the region, especially in Afghanistan. Whilst in Germany, the Chairman JCSC also visited the German Infantry School at Hammelburg.
In addition, he also visited the Center for Internal Leadership at Koblenz. General Nadeem Raza was briefed about the mandate and curriculum of the respective institutes.
A smartly turned-out contingent presented ‘Guard of Honour’ to the Chairman JCSC, upon arrival at the German Ministry of Defence. Subsequently, General Nadeem Raza visited Switzerland as well.

During his visit to Switzerland, he called on the Chief of Swiss Armed Forces Lieutenant General Thomas SUSSLI. General Nadeem Raza reviewed the bilateral defense relations between Pakistan and Switzerland.
Likewise, he exchanged views on the international and regional security environment along with the enhancement of military and defense collaboration between the two Armed Forces.
Along these lines, Chairman JCSC also visited Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP). GCSP is a global foundation that delivers executive training and education in all-around global peace and security policy.
Whilst at the center, General Nadeem Raza underscored the security standpoint of Pakistan on the geostrategic situation of the region with a focus on Afghanistan. The General also highlighted the need for reconciliation within Afghanistan for the sake of regional peace & security.
