Tokyo, 27 August 2021 (TDI): Stellar performance by Chinese Paralympic team clinched eight gold medals on the 2nd day of Paralympic games 2020.
An extraordinary show was staged in wheelchair fencing where the Chinese team won all four medals of the category. Other competitions where China claimed gold medals included both male and female powerlifting, discus throw, and 100meter race.
Moreover, in the 100-meter race, Zhou Xia made a new world record by covering the distance in only 13 seconds. Just on the third day, China is leading the table with a total score of 29 medals out of which 13 are gold, 5 are silver and 11 are bronze medals.
