History of Independence day

The countries of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh were once combined and called The Sub-Continent collectively. The Muslim majority region of the sub-continent fought for their independence based on the Two Nation Theory.

The Two Nation Theory explained the differences between the Hindus and Muslims. It further explained how both religions living together as one nation were impossible. Therefore, Pakistan emerged as an independent country on 14th August 1947, breaking away from British authority.
