Afghan Delegation invited by Turkish Foreign Minister

Ankara, 15 October 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu hosted a reception to welcome the Afghan Delegation. The reception was attended by several high-ranking Turkish government officials.

The High-Level Afghan delegation was led by Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Afghan Foreign Minister. They reached Ankara at the official invitation of the Turkish Foreign Minister. The agenda of the meeting was to hold talks on issues of mutual interest. Moreover, both states also talked about bilateral ties and issues they face when it comes to a cordial environment.

The Ottoman Empire reached Afghanistan long before the formation of diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and Turkey. According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Turks are the largest foreign investors in health services, energy, and mining. In the light of recent Afghan situation, it is only reasonable to assert that Turkey will continue to be an important factor in the country’s future. Since Turkey has always valued the growth, security, and prosperity of the Afghan people. High level contacts will be helpful in strengthening bilateral relations between Ankara and Kabul.
