Pakistan is set to host the second edition of Pakistan international Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC) from 3rd to 6th of November 2025 at the Karachi Expo Center. Organized by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Badar Expo Solutions, under the patronage of Pakistan Navy, the event promises to be one of the most important gatherings for anyone who is interested in innovation, business, development, and sustainability in the maritime sector.
Pakistan is blessed with over 1,000 kilometers of coastline and 240,000 square kilometer Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). The country’s blue economy potential includes industries like fisheries, coastal tourism, shipbuilding, and renewable energy – sectors which remain somehow underdeveloped and not fully developed and capitalized upon. Ultimately PIMEC aims to change that and fully unlock the potential and new opportunities which connect Pakistan with global innovators and investors.
What Makes PIMEC Worth Visiting?
After the success of its first edition in 2023, which involved participants from over 50 countries and 143 exhibitors, the 2025 edition is expected to be even greater. The event will feature exhibitions, flagship maritime conference, B2G and B2B meetings, award ceremonies, and broad networking sessions.
Visitors will have a chance to explore latest innovations in renewable energy, shipbuilding, fisheries, marine biotechnology and offshore oil drilling. These sectors not only entertain Pakistan’s growing energy and food demands but also align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
For investors and entrepreneurs, PIMEC will offer direct exposure to global industry leaders, technology developers and naval experts. It is a great place for Government to Business (G2B) and Business to Business(B2B) collaboration that can directly lead to real time investments and partnerships.
