Turkmenistan Strengthens Ties with Russia, US, China

Ashgabat, (TDI): Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a series of meetings with the ambassadors of Russia, the US, and China, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations.

In his discussion with Russian Ambassador Ivan Volynkin, the two sides explored various facets of cooperation, including political and diplomatic engagement, trade and economic ties, and cultural exchanges.

Both expressed a commitment to further expanding these areas of collaboration, according to a statement from the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

Meanwhile, Meredov’s meeting with US Ambassador Elizabeth Rood centered on key aspects of Turkmenistan-US relations.

Special emphasis was placed on the “C5+1” initiative, which brings together the US and five Central Asian countries.

The discussions also touched upon joint efforts in security, energy, and environmental matters.

Meeting with Chinese Envoy

The dialogue with Chinese Ambassador Qian Naicheng focused on the ongoing cooperation between the two nations, particularly within the framework of the Central Asia-China initiative.

Preparations for joint activities planned for this year were also reviewed.
