30+ Countries Coming Together for Pakistan's Flagship Maritime Expo 2025

Karachi (TDI): More than 30 countries are set to participate in the Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC) 2025, taking place from 3-6 November at Karachi’s Expo Center.

The expo is Pakistan’s flagship effort to showcase its growing maritime potential and strengthen international collaboration in blue economy. The country’s maritime industry gets an exclusive chance to showcase innovation, solutions, and products to both national and international governments.

Organized under the auspices of the Pakistan Navy and managed by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Badar Expo Solutions, the event will bring together global stakeholders from the maritime, shipping, and defense industries.

The three days are lined up with buzzing networking events and focused B2B and B2G meetings, which will run through each day.

PIMEC, whose first and inaugural took place in 2023, is an initiative designed to highlight the country’s strategic position along the Arabian Sea and its role in regional trade, logistics, and naval security.

The participation of over 30 nations underscores a shared interest in fostering cooperation on maritime safety, technology exchange, and sustainable use of ocean resources.

According to official statements, this year’s edition will feature leading companies and delegations from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Exhibitors are expected to showcase cutting-edge technologies in shipbuilding, port operations, marine engineering, and coastal management.

Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and joint venture agreements are anticipated during the expo, after the success of the last edition in which 22 MoUs were signed.

The soft launch ceremony of PIMEC was held earlier this year on 16th June, in which the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the event.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan offers immense opportunities for profitable investments, joint ventures, and trade in the maritime domain.

He highlighted that the oceans not only connect nations but also require collective responsibility to ensure their security and sustainable use.
