Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday congratulated the people and leadership of China on the 75th founding anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, Radio Pakistan reported.
He made these remarks while speaking at a reception in Islamabad. The meeting was also attended by President Asif Ali Zardari.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Shehbaz called it a great day as Pakistan and China celebrated this important milestone together. He expressed happiness over the joint celebration of China’s 75 years of independence.
The premier recalled his visit to China in June and expressed his deep appreciation for the warm and friendly welcome he received.
He said the bond between the people of Pakistan and China was unbreakable and the Pak-China friendship was “higher than the Himalayas and deeper than the deepest ocean.”

PM Shehbaz thanked China for supporting Pakistan in difficult times.
“Without China’s help, it would have been impossible to meet IMF conditions,” she said.
PM Shehbaz assured Pakistan’s unwavering support for China’s stance on Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other global issues.
“Pakistan will continue to stand by China without hesitation.”
The premier also mentioned that the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will play a crucial role in transforming Pakistan’s economy.

“This phase holds great potential for cooperation in areas like agriculture, information technology, and mining,” he added.
Meanwhile, President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to working together with China for shared prosperity and promoting peace and stability in the world.
He said the Pakistan-China friendship had transformed into an All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

“This partnership serves as a model of inter-state relations and thus becomes a source of inspiration and strength for both countries.”
The President said China is an iron-clad brother of Pakistan and the entire nation is proud of the enduring friendship as both countries stood by each other during testing times.
