Pakistan’s Envoy Presents Credentials to Macron

Paris, (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to Spain, Dr. Zahoor Ahmed, presented his credentials as the concurrently accredited Ambassador to Andorra during a formal ceremony held at the Élysée Palace in Paris, where he met French President Emmanuel Macron.

As per Andorra’s unique governance structure, which features two Co-Princes — the President of France and the Bishop of Urgell — ambassadors accredited to Andorra are required to present their credentials to both heads of state.

During the meeting, President Macron highlighted Andorra’s distinctive political arrangement and described it as a unique nation.

He reflected on his visits to all seven parishes of the principality and praised its leadership in mountain tourism and financial services.

Macron expressed his belief that the country had much to offer in these sectors.

Ambassador Zahoor Ahmed, while presenting his credentials, congratulated President Macron on the successful hosting of the Paris Olympics.

Ambassador Conveys Greetings

He also conveyed the greetings of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Sehbaz Sharif, expressing Pakistan’s intent to deepen relations with Andorra in areas such as mountain tourism, climate change, education, multilateral forums, and financial services.

President Macron welcomed the ambassador’s proposals and underscored the significance of collaboration in tackling climate change.
