Islamabad, 26 October 2021 (TDI): Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan conveyed his warmest congratulations to Uzbekistan’s President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on Monday for his remarkable victory in the Presidential Elections held on October 24.
Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed great pleasure over the reelection of Uzbek President Shavkatand and maintained that Mirziyoyev’s victory is a testament to the public’s ample trust in his leadership.

Following the auspicious occasion, Khan also anticipated a productive dialogue between Islamabad and Tashkent subsequently. Identifying the leadership of President Mirziyoyev as capable and confident, Imran Khan also congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on Shavkat’s second five-year term.
According to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, around 16.21 million people participated in the electoral process, representing 80.4% of the total number of voters. Mirziyoyev secured victory in the Presidential Elections by winning 80.1 percent of the vote and has been re-elected for a second five-year term.
