Commander Karachi, Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, speaking at the closing ceremony, said that the event became a hub for collaboration and exchange of ideas.
PIMEC, which ran from November 3-6, 2025, is a flagship event of the country’s Maritime Ministry; organized under the patronage of Pakistan Navy. The purpose of this event is to attract investments in coastal development, tourism, fisheries, deep sea explorations, and shipbuilding.
PIMEC was organized for the very first time in 2023 as an attempt to prioritize the otherwise dormant maritime sector and generate an economy driven by the ocean.
