Climate Research Wing Launched in Islamabad

Islamabad (TDI): Founder and CEO of Bondh E Shams (Solar Water Project), Hamza Farrukh, announced the launch of the Climate Research Wing (CRW) at the “Unite for Climate Action” event held at Islamabad Club on Sunday.

The evening brought together policymakers, changemakers, climate advocates and journalists to discuss urgent responses to the international water and climate crises.

In his keynote address, Hamza said that climate change is water change.

“For millions, the struggle against water scarcity and climate catastrophes is a battle for survival.”

He undrlined Bondh E Shams’ revolutionary OASIS Box™️, a solar-powered, portable water filtration system, which during the devastating floods in 2022, converted flood water into clean drinking water.

The CRW by Bondh E Shams, led by Hamza Farrukh, who is currently studying environmental science at Stanford University, will focus on coming up with new solutions to tackle climate change and water-related problems.

It will serve as a knowledge hub for policymakers and journalists, providing data-driven insights and practical solutions for water security and climate adaptation.

This initiative builds on Bondh E Shams’ history of using advanced technology to present real-world solutions for communities in need.
