Brooklyn, 31 December 2021 (TDI): Last night the Pakistani Consul General in New York Ayesha Ali, attended an event to celebrate the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Christmas.
The event was attended by the New York Police Department (NYPD) in Brooklyn, and the members of the Pakistani Community. The Commanding Officer of NYPD Michael Kemper called the event to be delightful.
He said he was honoured to meet Consul General Ayesha Ali and that he enjoyed sharing memories and celebrating the birthday of the founder of Pakistan. The event also involved the celebration of Adeel Rana for becoming the first Pakistani American Deputy Inspector in NYPD.

The celebration of each other national and cultural holidays spreads love and strengthens friendship among members of the community.
The Pakistani American Community
The Pakistani Community in America is making groundbreaking efforts to give back to the community and to make Pakistan proud. They are excelling in various fields such as entrepreneurship, Information Technology, Law and Justice.
The Pakistani community is also playing a vital role in social activities such as, holding thanksgiving food drives, not only showing respect to other communities cultures but also feeding the hungry.
The Islamic Centre of Arts in Houston held an event to honour Islamic art in the western community. The goal of this event was to provide an opportunity to different communities in America to explore Islamic Art. The event was attended by many people from different backgrounds.
Moreover, the government of Pakistan, with the help of the Mayor of Washington, held a Pakistani Food Day at schools in Washington. This created an opportunity for the children from different societies to try different flavours and cultural delights from Pakistan. Such events help in increasing people to people interaction thus strengthening bonds among nations.
