Ahsan Iqbal noted that the federal government had allocated Rs155 billion for the first quarter under the PSDP framework. He stressed the full and effective utilization of these funds with a focus on achieving tangible outcomes.

Iqbal emphasized the timely completion of these projects, particularly ongoing ones, which should ideally be completed within the time frame mentioned in PC-1.

He said sufficient funding should be allocated immediately to avoid delays. He also urged the need for budgetary provisions for new projects to prevent execution hurdles.

Iqbal said the funds should be reallocated from projects with zero expenditure to expedite those currently under implementation. “I will not tolerate any lapses in project execution,” he said, underscoring the urgency of maintaining momentum in development work.

The minister urged authorities to avoid duplication of PSDP projects, saying the government had limited financial resources and must be spent vigilantly, ensuring maximum impact for national development.
