South Africa’s Minister meets with UN Secretary General

New York, 21 September 2021(TDI): Naledi Pandor, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa met with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, at the side-lines of 76th session of United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The primary subject of discussion was the development of the Southern African region in the continent. Minister Pandor and Secretary General also discussed and shared opinions on how to overcome the impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Moreover, Minister Naledi Pandor and Secretary General also talked about the sustainable development, matters of peace & security and the Secretary General’s report of the meeting entitled as Our Common Agenda.

The Secretary-General appreciated South Africa’s remarkable contributions to the United Nations.
