Riyadh (TDI): Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud Tuesday stressed that it was important to ensure that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enhance meaningful cooperation that will bring about economic growth and prosperity in Pakistan.
The Saudi Crown Prince expressed these views in meeting with the Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in evening on the sidelines of the One Water Summit in Riyadh.
Shehbaz Sharif and Muhammed bin Salman agreed that it was now necessary for the two countries to bring about a qualitative change in their economic, trade and investment relationship.

The Saudi Crown Prince and the PM expressed satisfaction at the pace of progress of the implementation of the Saudi MOUs and agreements regarding investment in Pakistan.
The meeting between the two leaders was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, marking a more open exchange.
The Crown Prince spoke of his great pleasure at meeting the Pakistani Prime Minister for the fifth time over past six months.

He said that this was the evidence of the genuine love and affection that connect the peoples of the two countries.
The Prime Minister thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for his most genuine affection for the people of Pakistan. He reiterated his invitation to the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience. The Crown Prince responded that he was looking forward to his visit to Pakistan.
Saudi Crown Prince Invited Earlier
In April also, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, The Prime Minister of Pakistan invited the Saudi Crown Prince to undertake an official visit to Pakistan, at the earliest convenience, which was accepted by the Crown Prince.
According to Foreign Office in the meeting that was held on April 7 this year between the two leaders at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, emphasis was placed on the Kingdom’s supportive role in Pakistan’s economy and the mutual desire to strengthen trade and investment ties.
Both parties had affirmed their commitment to expediting the first wave of investment package worth $ 5 billion which was discussed previously.
