Ramallah, 17 March 2024 (TDI): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine strongly condemned the ongoing genocidal war perpetrated by the Israeli government against the Palestinian people, which has now extended for 162 days.
The relentless aggression has resulted in mass massacres of civilians, destruction of infrastructure, and exacerbation of humanitarian crises, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
Israel’s tactics, including the use of starvation and deprivation as weapons, blatantly disregard international calls for the protection of civilians and the fulfillment of basic humanitarian needs.
The Ministry warned of the impending humanitarian catastrophe should Israeli forces invade Rafah and escalate their aggression further.

Additionally, the Ministry denounced the escalating attacks by armed colonialist militias on Palestinian citizens and their properties in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
Recent incidents regarding abuse of Palestinian citizens, their land, property, homes, vehicles, trees, and holy sites in many locations in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, the most recent of which was their attacks on the towns of Madama and Burin, south of Nablus, as well as their continued violation of Masafer Yatta and their abuse of citizens and their sheep.
These events highlight the ongoing violations and attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians, further entrenching the illegal occupation and settlement expansion.
It is pertinent to note that the Israeli right feeds on the cycle of wars and violence continues to ignite more fires in the arena of conflict and the region, and replaces political solutions to crises and conflict with brutal military and security logic.
This logic is a recipe for detonating the arena of conflict and expanding the circle of wars in the entire region and does not lead to achieving security and stability.
The Ministry further emphasized that the Israeli government’s reliance on military and security measures exacerbates tensions, fuels conflicts, and undermines prospects for peaceful resolutions.
This approach not only jeopardizes regional security and stability but also erodes global order and legitimacy. Netanyahu’s actions are a direct assault on international law, humanitarian principles, and the credibility of the global order.
He is attacking the foundations of the global order, underestimating its legitimacy, and everything related to humanity and civilian protection.
The Ministry called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for its violations and to work towards a just and lasting resolution that respects the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.
Further, it underscored the urgency of addressing the grave humanitarian situation in Palestine along with calling for concerted efforts to end the cycle of violence and injustice in the region.
