Addis Ababa (TDI): Ethiopia and Pakistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday to hold political consultation to further improve bilateral cooperation.
State Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Ambassador Mesganu Arga and, Additional Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan signed the MoU in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Mesganu expressed his country’s willingness to enhance mutual ties in the fields of agriculture, investment, trade, aviation, industry and science, and technology, among others.
He said Ethiopia was committed to the principles of South-South cooperation.

For his part, Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan welcomed the strengthening of bilateral relations in various fields.
He also mentioned that Ethiopian Airlines’s direct flight to Karachi has played an important role in bringing the people of the two nations closer.
