Pakistan, Japan to Enhance Tech Cooperation at ‘GO GLOBAL’ Startup Event

Tokyo (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo is set to host the “GO GLOBAL: Pakistan-Japan Market Entry and  Startup Collaboration” event on Thursday.

This high-level forum is designed to foster a dynamic technology partnership between the two nations, focusing on emerging sectors and cross-border innovation.

The event serves as a strategic platform to construct a “Japan-Pakistan Innovation Bridge” connecting innovators, investors and industry leaders from both countries.

By bringing together key stakeholders, the forum aims to explore collaborations in high-growth technology sectors, specifically Applied AI, FinTech, SaaS and Web3.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to support Pakistan’s growing startup ecosystem and Japan’s advanced industrial landscape.

Through this collaboration, officials aim to determine practical approaches for Pakistani startups looking to operate into Japan, while simultaneously offering Japanese investors direct access to Pakistan’s emerging digital economy.

The event represents the 25th edition of the GO GLOBAL seminar series and is being organized in collaboration with the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center.

The program features a diverse line-up of influential speakers and representatives from both nations, facilitating direct engagement between the startup and investment communities.

The Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, Abdul Hameed, will deliver the keynote address to highlight the importance of economic diplomacy, while representatives from the Minato City Industrial Promotion Center, including Edward Murakami, will outline the center’s role in fostering international collaboration.

The CEO of Ignite (National Technology Fund), Muhammad Bilal Abbasi will represent institutional leadership and he will share insights into Pakistan’s innovation policies and the infrastructure available to support startups.

The speakers and representatives from leading startups will provide participants with a detailed view of the evolving technological landscape in both nations.

Organizers emphasized that the forum is not merely an isolated event but a continuation of ongoing efforts to connect the startup ecosystems of Pakistan and Japan.

By facilitating direct engagement between investors and entrepreneurs, the embassy aims to create a sustainable pipeline for long-term technological and commercial collaboration.

Many stakeholders including Japanese companies, venture capitalists and technology leaders are participating to engage in networking and high-level discussions aimed at scaling Pakistani innovations within the Japanese market.

This event comes after the recent SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 summit held on 27-29 April 2026 which featured startups from 60 countries and delegates from 55 cities.
