Beijing (TDI): The upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival in China is set to be marked by high-profile performances from both domestic and international celebrities, including Jay Chou, Ye, and Mariah Carey.
These events are anticipated to portray the Chinese culture and drive significant economic activity, particularly in second- and third-tier cities.
Taiwanese singer Jay Chou will perform in Shenzhen for four consecutive days from Thursday to Sunday, with tickets priced up to 2,000 yuan ($280) selling out within minutes of release.
Li Jian, renowned for his poetic musical style, is scheduled to perform in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on September 14 and 16.
Internationally, American rapper Ye, formerly Kanye West, will host a “listening party” for his new album “Vultures” in Hainan Province on Sunday.
Tickets for Ye’s performance, also priced up to 2,000 yuan, sold out rapidly.
However, the Wuyuan River Stadium, where Ye’s performance is set to take place, has been damaged by Typhoon Yagi.
