Washington (TDI): The United States Department of State has announced that it will issue limited-edition US passports featuring a portrait and signature of Donald Trump to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary.
These documents will be available to citizens through the Washington Passport Agency starting in July. The White House revealed the new designs of the passport in a post on X.
The design includes a portrait of Donald Trump alongside the official text of the Declaration of Independence and elements of the American flag and the interior also features the signature of Donald Trump rendered in gold.
Officials said that these passports will maintain all standard security features required for international travel.
The inclusion of these commemorative elements aims to reflect the milestone anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence.

The US State Department spokesperson Tommy Piggott said, “As the United States marks its 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is preparing to release a limited number of specially designed US passports to commemorate this historic occasion.”
The documents will be issued exclusively through the Washington Passport Agency on a first-come, first-served basis. The distribution is expected to begin this summer and will continue as long as the limited-edition supplies remain available to the public.
The introduction of the commemorative passport is part of the administration’s wider “America250″ program. This initiative includes various events and projects designed to mark the country’s 250th anniversary over the coming months and other aspects of the national celebration include commemorative coin designs and updates to federal passes.
These efforts are aimed at aligning institutional image with the historical themes of the 250th anniversary. The United States Treasurer, Brandon Beach affirmed proposed images for the coin redesign on X. It included Trump’s portrait alongside text such as “Liberty” and “In God We Trust.”

The reverse shows Donald Trump raising a closed fist before an American flag, accompanied by the phrase “FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT,” recalling the remarks he made following an assassination attempt on 13 July 2024 at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
These programs follow recent administrative efforts to include visual elements associated with the current administration across federal agencies and public buildings.
Such measures have been combined into various aspects of national programming and government operations throughout the year.
The government continues to organize events across the country to celebrate this historical anniversary. Federal agencies have confirmed that these programs will proceed alongside the distribution of the limited-edition travel documents throughout the summer months for all eligible applicants.
