Amman, 8 November 2021 (TDI): Jordan’s King Abdullah II condemns the horrific terrorist assassination attempt on Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi. This threatens to jeopardize Iraq’s security and stability. The incident took place in Baghdad’s “Green Zone.” This is a particularly protected region inside Iraq’s capital, which houses the majority of the country’s embassies and government buildings.
According to the country’s officials, a drone carrying explosives struck the house of Iraq’s Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi. This turned out a failed attempt to murder him. Iraqi officials reported that at least three drones laden with explosives were utilized in the assault. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the incident. Authorities have verified that Al Kazemi is unharmed and in good health. The security forces are taking the required precautions in response to the failed assassination attempt.
