Islamabad, 21 February 2022 (TDI): The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan is ready to embark on his official visit to Russia. The date is drawing near and is just around the corner.

Precisely the visit is scheduled for Wednesday 23 February 2022. It will be a two-day visit according to the official sources. Earlier the President of Russia Vladimir Putin specially invited the Prime Minister of Pakistan to his country.

Accepting the invitation, the Prime Minister of Pakistan will be there in Russia in the next few days. Not only that but in response, Imran Khan had also given an invitation to the Russian President to visit Pakistan.

It is relevant to mention over here, that a high-level delegation will be alongside the Pakistani Prime Minister. The delegation will include members from the Cabinet as well. The visit is bound to further deepen the friendly relations between the two states.

The Summit Meeting

The two dignitaries will be discussing partnerships in various sectors in general and energy cooperation in particular. The further plan also involves holding dialogues on the rampant Islamophobia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin in the year 2021, condemned the disrespect towards the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammed (PBUH). He stated that these acts are a violation of religious freedom.

Russian President’s remarks were welcomed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. He greatly appreciated his concerns and support.

Furthermore, war-torn Afghanistan and economic meltdown in the respective country will also be discussed. To put all of it in a nutshell international and regional challenges will remain the topic of discussion.

First Trip by Pakistani Prime Minister in years

This visit is getting significance for all the right reasons. This official visit by Imran Khan is the first such visit in twenty-three years by a Pakistani Prime Minister.

The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif traveled to Moscow in 1999. After him now Imran Khan’s visit will make the bilateral relationships more strong and deep.
