Islamabad, 31 August 2021 (TDI): During the joint press conference in Islamabad, Pakistan, the Foreign Minister of Germany Heiko Maas stated that Germany will keep supporting the Afghanistan region.
It is the third meeting of the German Foreign Minister with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Quraishi. Mr. Heiko acknowledged that Pakistan being a distant neighbor has suffered a lot due to the situation in Afghanistan. He said that as part of Germany’s efforts to support the region, they will provide financial assistance and implement specific border control projects.
