German Foreign Minister meets Libyan Prime Minister

Tripoli, 9 September 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Germany, Heiko Maas meets the Prime Minister of Libya Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh in Tripoli. Both agreed to facilitate elections in the country.
Foreign Minister Maas reached Tripoli to attend the Berlin To Libya conference.

He met the Foreign Minister of Libya and both agreed to strengthen their diplomatic ties. He also acknowledged his efforts for bringing stability to the country. Abdul Hamid expressed his gratitude over the reopening of the German Embassy in Tripoli and hoped for better relations in the future. Additionally, Heiko Maas said that Libya should create a favorable environment for the elections. “It is time for the Libyans to take the fate of their country into their own hands again,” he said.
