Pakistan, Malaysia Seek Collaboration in Arts and Culture

Islamabad (TDI): The Deputy Head of Malaysia’s Diplomatic Mission in Pakistan, Mohd Syafik Firdaus, paid a courtesy call on the Federal Minister of Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi.

Both sides engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of heritage, arts, and culture. The promotion of close cooperation between cultural institutions was stressed by both dignitaries.

It was agreed that fostering institutional linkages and collaborative frameworks between museums, cultural centers, and heritage organizations will contribute to preserving and celebrating the rich cultural legacies of both countries.

The enhancement of cultural activities, particularly in the areas of performing arts and visual arts, also featured prominently in the meeting. Both sides acknowledged the vital role of cultural expression in strengthening people-to-people ties and mutual understanding.

They expressed interest in organizing joint exhibitions, cultural festivals, and performances as a means to showcase the diverse artistic traditions of their respective countries.

The importance of education and training in cultural arts was also recognized. Both dignitaries recognized the value of capacity building through the exchange of experts and training programs.

They expressed optimism that strengthened cultural cooperation will serve as a meaningful pillar for broader bilateral relationship.
