Paris, (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to France Asim Iftikhar Ahmad emphasized the increasing significance of fashion in cultural diplomacy during a multi-designer and multi-cultural fashion show held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris.
The event, organized in collaboration with Fashion London, aimed to celebrate the diverse cultures and unique fashion scenes of Pakistan, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
A diverse audience, including French officials, diplomats, members of the fashion and business community, students, and media representatives, attended the show titled “Spring Summer 2025 Paris,” featuring six dynamic designers who have previously showcased their collections internationally.
Ambassador Ahmad welcomed guests and highlighted the unique place fashion holds in representing a nation’s culture.
“Much like food, art, and sports, fashion plays a vital role in cultural diplomacy. This Embassy prioritizes cultural diplomacy, and events like this transform dreams into reality,” he said.

Our objective is to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan by drawing linkages and partnering with our friends, the ambassador added.
He noted that as the world evolves, so does fashion, pointing out that Pakistan hosts numerous extravagant fashion weeks annually.
Ambassador Praises Designers’ Efforts
Praising the designers’ efforts, the ambassador remarked that behind every quality garment lies a story—one of tradition, artistry, and passion.
“This storytelling is evident in the meticulous details, fabric selections, color palettes, and overall concepts of each collection. The designers share a piece of their rich cultural history with the world,” the press release quoted him as saying.
During the event, Ambassador Ahmad introduced Geoff Cox, Executive Producer of Fashion London, commending his passion and commitment to curating a diverse fashion show that aims to elevate the fashion industry.

Designers Lenie Boya, Ana Bari, Natz Couture, Alex Le Mez, Karen Gold, and Omar Mansoor captivated the audience with their breathtaking clothing lines, further showcasing the vibrant tapestry of cultural expression through fashion.
